I can't get over how much media and reality shows shape my point of view. I kept having visions of "hillbilly hand fishin'" and "river monsters" while relaxing on the San Marcos river this weekend. A 400 pound drunk hillbilly was doing cartwheels and singing epic ballads from the Willie Nelson collection and neighboring campers pushing the limits of the law with domestic disputes. Our campsite was rought with karaoke, shrimp boils, barbecue, laughter and rich with community. As we caught up with old friends, we were reminded that connections will always be strong.
